Against the grain of common thought, Like sparks that fly from iron wrought, The words I write do grate my soul, Destroyed by that which makes it whole. Bound fast am I in chains of ink, And of ink from my wrists I bleed. In my own mind I’m doomed to sink, I’m trapped submerged by fantasy. Normality, to me a dream A thought of naught but pure whimsey. Within my head I’m doomed to die. My books I leave to make amends. This is just life, oui c’est la vie. Which is, of course, to say it ends.
