Sandy’s cellphone rang and the screen flashed Kirk.

“Hey,” said Sandy

“Hi, are you ready?” Kirk hissed in a velvety voice.

“Excuse me!” she grunted

“I’m outside your door,” he chuckled at her reaction and hung up the phone.

She felt the words and something inside her screamed, alerting her of an upcoming inevitable danger but she quickly dismissed the shivering thought and painted her lips a bright red, with a hot pink outline. Standing in front of the mirror she gave herself a final look, she was wearing a lavender one-piece dress with sleeves ending below the elbows with a broad shoulder V-neck and matching mid heels that hid well under the length of her dress. She kept her hairs in a high bun with two chopsticks in it. Twirling around she eyed every part of her dress, satisfied with herself, she smiled and winked the mirror. The only thing she felt out of place was the double triangle cut on the dress’s left and right that Kirk had made himself just above the waistline but she gave it no thought. Containing her excitement, she just smiled at herself, took the keys off of the dresser and walked her way to the front door.

Kirk stood there in a navy-blue pants, with a light blue shirt with double folded sleeves, a dark blue buttoned up waistcoat. Crossed arms, leaning against his car he slid his Ray-Ban down his nose ridge eyeing the slender stick figure in lavender with his dark brown eyes and then readjusted them back.

She smiled, “humph,” she placed her right hand on her hip and adjusted her left one on her forwardly bent leg as she leaned closer to his face, “bad manners.” His shades were keeping her from looking into his eyes, but she knew he felt those words as he grunted and straightened up from his easy position. He approached her, “bad manners, for to be shown to bad girls” and stuck his tongue out for a bit. They both shared a laugh, she straightened herself up from the posture and with an audible huff looked at him with a like-what-you-are-seeing expression on her face with a playful smile.

“So,” she started extending her right arm and then folding it with its back facing him,

“Is it a date?”
