I hide in the shadows and watch you.

I listen when you don't know I'm there.

I use my invisible cloak against you.

My sharp tongue remains in its sheath.

A pretty mask distracts from a deadly weapon.

Knowledge is


And I derive power the more you underestimate me.

So I laugh, and I nod, and I masquerade my smile

As to not give away the intricate and complex processes hidden beneath.

Knowledge is power

And I already know you.

I've been watching and I've been listening.

Quietly gauging and measuring.

Jaws clenched, eyes intense, teeth draped in a clown’s smile.

Knowing you’ve never encountered a challenge like me.

Ego and reputation mean nothing.

My concrete walls have been reinforced by years of under-estimation
