Here I sit lost in thought

My morals all for naught

The shattered ring

The queen rejecting the king

It's how I sit

Wanting from life to quit

All the while

Staring at the ceiling tile

Hearing little voices

Giving me dark choices

I find myself holding a kitchen knife

With a desire to take a life

But I shake it all off

I just sort of mumble and cough

It's all the sickness

It has its own quickness

I'm not going mad

If anything I'm just sad

But the voices still talk

Shouting as I walk

Wanting me to engage

On a bloody rampage

Saying remember her

How she didn't confer

How she just walked out

Not even a fight where you shout

She just gave in

So repay her sin

Write her crimes in blood

Leave a broken body in the mud

I can't take the voices this day

They just command me to stay

I start to nurse the bottle

But they come back in full throttle

Getting visions of red

If I keep on someone will be dead

I need a solution

To achieve some absolution

I no longer hope

Frayed is my mind's rope

Anytime I may snap

Then someone falls into the trap

And egged on by voices gab

All I'll do is kill and stab

So I must take the forsaken path

Lest I become a vessel for their wrath

God help me as I figure

While my finger is on the trigger

I make my final pledge

Before firing and sending myself off the edge
