This poem is a sellout.

But it will resonate with you.

I’ll pour my creative mind into it.

The natural skill I’ve never bothered to hone.

You will like it because its witty.

My cynicism will make you chuckle.

Maybe you like Avant Garde?

I used to craft stories.

I would lie awake imagining universes.

I was ever absorbed with carefree dreams.

But then I grew up and got smart.

And now I just wanna make money.

My head is full of worry.

And my hands are tired.

But beauty lives in work.

There is laughter in days ahead.

The early days and the long nights

Will pay dividends to dreams of the future.

And a dream is a costly thing.

So I offer these flowery words.

Do they stir your heart?
