Ease is a four-letter word

Like love but not blurred.

Our lives spent seeking

But simply not being.

Pain is so common

Yet we all seem done.

We don't find time

For things sublime.

But do find time

For things to climb.

Life is so precious

And being but aweless.

Finding our purpose

Gets lost in the surface.

There is no ease in this life we live

All we can do is find our hearts to give.

Searching everywhere for something that might not come

And your sunflower field selfie seems to come undone.

You shoot pictures not people

We paint a canvas not war fields so ample.

Everyday is a battle of the mind, and every year

Another set list for our fears.

We cannot live afraid of our roar

When the lions in the den are boor.

Grow flowers from weeds and birds from ashes

Regain beauty and presence in our stashes.

Hide nothing inside live fully with pride.

Let your wings expand and your heart go unplanned.
