She sits alone blinded and in contentment
As she strums her mysterious emotive strings
Playing tunes from music with enchantment
Staying placid and cool as satisfaction brings
Singing with a voice that’s of much enticement
She soothes disturbed souls making hearts ring
For she sees no scorn, derision or disparagement
But lives blissfully in darkened haze, not realising

Can you hear her each time you delve deep within?
Or could she be just a figment of my imagination?
Each time I am stricken with pains, she’s in
From her I seek comfort, succour and consolation

My life pains me each time I’m pricked; like pins
Tearing through my heart; I weep in privation
When love’s lost my world goes into a spiral spin
And I am left stranded in absolute deprivation

Her tunes are articulate; her lines restful
While she render each note in calming strokes
With such touchy zest and poignantly artful
She brings me on a voyage of eruptive strove

And rest me upon calming bosoms warmly full
She douses the fire of torment my pains evoke
And caress my weariness with tunes to my soul
Sitting there in a deep corner, she’ll just invoke

She’s an angel of everlasting appeasement
An incessant reprise ever ready to tranquilise
To liven up your darkened hours with abatement
And compose you as much as you surmise
