In this life-

Nothing have I lost or gained,

During euphoria; or in the darkest hour of my pain,

Although, with the sword of deceit I have been slain;

I donot wish to condemn or complain!

In this life-

To a fresh start, I raise a toast,

Unlimited challenges I set out to host,

Of big dreams I wish to make the most,

Of new virtues, I donot wish to boast!

In this life-

The horizon is way beyond imagination,

So I to set out on an endless journey before reaching my destination;

And my speed is the race against the fast pace of time;

I often build memories using words that often donot rhyme!

And sing these incomplete melodies with a soft and pleasant chime!

In this life-

They say my soul will always heal,

And it breaks glass ceilings with an unlimited zeal;

While my earthly body succumbs to age;

This vivacious soul can never be caged!

In this life-

I am vagrant and nomadic,

Torn apart from raging storms, while sailing, I often feel sea-sick,

But every island that I seek shelter in; is temporary,

So why not let this tested patience give in to this turbulent ocean’s fury?

In this life-

I shall gracefully answer when the Almighty, at the door, knocks!

Although I am consumed by an everlasting wish to track down the ticking clock;

Someday, I must surrender myself to the world I once set out to win;

To make peace with the inevitable, my sublimely self is never too keen!
