This poem is about how I long to find someone who loves me for who I am and how I look. For the longest, I have felt insecure about my body. I’m not those muscled-up guys that you see on TV.

Every time I look,

Every time I look

I see broken pieces

Pieces, scattered everywhere

Pieces that seems to be

long broken

All I see is

Something that can’t be repaired

Something that can’t

be restored

All I ask for you

is to fix the broken pieces

and make it whole

like it once was

and make it beautiful

for everyone to idolize

and cherish

Even if you don’t see it

as beautiful or unique or

anything, above or below

Because there is someone

Someone out there that is

willing to go over and beyond

to idolize and cherish the cracks, chips and scratches of the piece together

That is all I ask and

all I see every time

I look into a mirror

Are broken pieces

Scattered, scattered
