Sonnet- To Psychosis

What makes the doctor's office hush the storm

rocking chaotic heads? Or ease the strain

in one most nervy mind? Chartreuse uniform,

do you alleviate or just restrain?

Fluorescent fixture, can you blind fixation?

Or can a vinyl pat on back relieve

mental entropy? Please, I want sedation

'cause I just wear defeat upon my sleeve.

Isn't the mind an odd and strange domain?

The body, broken, finds a cure in time,

but meds just silence pain in shaken brains

and piece together poems one can't rhyme.

If this is just imagined, not believed,

then please, can you prescribe some new reprieve?
