"To All My Exes" is a poem I wrote about toxic masculinity and the affects it can have after a romantic relationship has ended.

Exes don't go away

Even years after I've left them

They call out of the blue

Ask what's new

Though I know

sex is what they're after

That's all they want,anyway

A piece of my body

They feel entitled to

Because we dated

 in high school

They think it's flattering

to call me

their trophy

The one that

got away

They must have forgotten

I'm the one

that broke them

Their masculine minds

in overdrive

But, I let them speak

I let them flirt

I let them beg forgiveness

I let them drive me home

Then delete their numbers

from my phone

And fall asleep

Happy and alone
