I’ve been driving this whole time

Never a thought still

Thrown out

Speakers in my mind

I’ve been driving this whole time

Never a thought still

Slowed down, burned

Static noise of mine

I’ve been weaving between the lines

Still only my thoughts rill

Past deserts, caverns

The darkest places I could find

I’ve been crying while I drive

Thoughts like trumpets shrill

Pounding, slamming

The darkest places I could find

I’ve been driving this whole time

Never thought I’d be so still

Pedal smashed, fingers grasped

But I haven’t moved a mile
