That day I lost all hope,

To those who guide my fate.

They gladly took control,

And wished I participate.

In their plan of precision,

To achieve a worthy cause.

They offered great rewards,

Clubbed with a penal clause.

I had no hope for self,

I gave my selfless best.

It gave them hope for returns,

For the efforts they did invest.

They moved me like a puppet,

I surrendered to each string.

They hoped for extra movements,

Beyond what attachments bring.

With times they grew restless,

With their hope to exceed.

Soon they were having trouble,

They looked hopeless indeed.

I gained my hope to move on,

Despite all these strings.

My purpose had more meaning,

Beyond what attachment brings.

To this day when i think of hope,

I think, hope is a funny thing.

Hope looks insanely hopeless,

In a hopeless rendering.
