It's Friday night ...
I'm on the last leg of my journey home
after a long hard week
I pop my bank card into the TTC Pass Vending Machine
and ask it to spit out next week's pass
all it spits out is my receipt
and now I look like an %$&
afraid to leave the machine
I tried to wave down the attendant
to bring the situation to his attention
the TTC pass machine took my money I said ...
but didn't spit out my pass
now what do I do ...
I'm on a budget you see
I got containers to ship
and trips to take
I haven't got money
just to throw away for heavens sake
the TTC Supervisor came
there was nothing they could do
except to say "call the 1-800 hotline"
and plead my case
so home I went
disgruntled and ornery
because I wanted it to be easy
this was a pain cuz now I'd had to go outta my way
but call I did
and it was Andrew that took my call
I pleaded my case
telling him my story
I cashed in 2 cards that day
in hopes of speeding the resolution along
I have deep connections in the TTC &
I was featured as part of the TTC Manners Campaign
both of those cards played in my favor
cuz the answer was ready within the hour
I still had to wait to get my pass
but only until Thursday
I'd have to stop at Davisville Station
in the customer service location
there was a line up and who knew this place existed
where they have live customer service people
I presented my case number
and after many questions surrounding
my incident and why I was there
came the resolution in the form a my new pass
for next weeks traveling
it wasn't until I got home and reorganized my purse that
I was able to see that in not getting a pass
I was presented with a better pass ... a full GTA pass
which ended up coming in very handy that week
we may not always know why ...
but we're always looked after
in every situation
I'm thankful that the TTC experience was turned around in such a positive way.
