A tattoo is a form of body modification where a design is made by inserting ink, dyes and pigments, either indelible or temporary, into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment. The art of making tattoos is tattooing.

Tattooed Man was a super-villain who could manipulate living tattoos on his body and usually an enemy of Green Lantern. Val was the current Tattooed Man, although he was not strictly a villain. He had been involved with the Secret Society of Super-Villains, the Justice League of America, and the Titans mercenaries. Val was a "Real Genius" who believed in the "Heat" of "Summer Love" and "True Romance" "At First Sight." He was armed with "Wings of Courage" and was friend with "The Prince of Egypt" and "Joe the King." His dream was to live in "Wonderland" on the "Red Planet."

Val got mad when "The Missing" "Hard Cash" was stolen from him by "Masked and Anonymous" thieves. He felt he was victim of a "Conspiracy" by Green Lantern. He asked "MacGruber," "The Snowman" for advice. He was told to use a "Gun" to "Kill the Irishman," the main thief. Then to take a "Double Identity" to hide the crime.

"5 Days of War" were needed to eliminate Green Lantern. Taking his "Blood Out" of his veins in "Streets of Blood" was "Bloodworth."

To achieve "The Chaos Experiment" Val had to enter "The Fourth Dimension." Look at the "Blind Horizon" and shoot at "George and the Dragon" flying in the sky. Find the "Tombstone" next to the "Willow" by "The Salton Sea." Then open "The Doors" to scare "The Ghost and the Darkness" of the "Dead Girl" inside the tomb. So she would beg:

"Kill Me Again."

And Val would do it again with a "Top Gun." Then arrest "Billy the Kid," "The Man Who Broke 1,000 Chains" to be judged by "Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn" who witnessed his murder in the graveyard.

Why Val had to do all of this? Because he had been involved with the Secret Society of Super-Villains, the Justice League of America, and the Titans mercenaries. "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang." That's what Val owed them. Kiss their ass and kill for them.

When Val met "The Love Guru," he was told to stop kissing the ass and killing for the Secret Society of Super-Villains, the Justice League of America, and the Titans mercenaries. He had to be convinced he owed them nothing. Armed with a "Thunderheart" Val rebelled and set himself free. He hided on "The Island of Dr. Moreau" until they forgot about him. He even changed identity. He became "The Saint" "Alexander." Then went to live in "Moscow Zero" degree Celsius.

Val was considered a "Felon" by the Justice League of America who discovered his betrayal and wanted to kill him. He felt "Breathless" "Seven Below" zero degree Celsius in Moscow during the harsh winter. But he felt safe as the Justice League of America were not allowed in Russia. Thanks Mr. Putin!

"I don't believe in death. I think it's just a state of mind."

That's what Val told himself every time he killed someone.

"There is no normal life, there's just life. You live it."

What normal means anywhere? Just leave it.

"I don't make any pretense about being normal. I'm not."

Just leave it Val. It's not worth debating about the meaning of being normal or not being normal. If it really mattered, Shakespeare would have written: "to be normal, or not to be", instead of, "to be, or not be."

"Give me the compliments. I love compliments. I was born modest, but it wore off."

You are too self-centered and vain Val. Just leave it.

"I saw the horizon. It's out there. And though I may not ever be able to touch it, it's worth reaching for."

It's the "Blind Horizon" Val. But this time don't shoot "George and the Dragon" flying in the sky. They didn't do anything against you.

"So, goodnight Val. You can be "The Traveler" "Masked and Anonymous." So you don't have to hide from the Justice League of America. "Dream It Out Loud" on "Planes." That would be a better life than living in Moscow seven below zero degree Celsius. That would be your new life. You live it."
