To be honest
I catch myself
Wondering sometimes
Why you chose me?
I'm a woman who's been hurt before
And because of that
I'm a little cautious with my heart
But then our eyes meet
After not seeing each other for days
Like two lightning bolts connecting in one spot
Your eyes are powerful, deep & very foretelling
When I see that twinkle in your eyes
That millisecond when we finally connect
There is NO doubt
That you love me with all of your heart
Your eyes tell me everything
That I need to know
They're impressively convincing
I feel them penetrate deep into my soul
The smile that you're try'n to hold back
It's for that millisecond
We're divinely connected
It reminds me immediately
That we are meant to be ONE
That millisecond tops me up
When I can REALLY see you
Face to face ... I FEEL you
It renews & re-fuels me
It brings a spring to my step
The fluttering of my heart
As it skips a few beats
Instantaneously reminds me
How much I miss you & how much I long
For YOUR arms to hold ME again
The date circled on OUR calendar's
For all to know and see
It's that kind of reminder though
So real, authentic & str8 from your heart
That I love to see
