Destined to be cursed

One meaningless outburst

A little fun they say

How did it start?

This devious art

A little fun they say

Where does he belong?

Will he stay strong?

A little fun they say

A couple harsh words

Now she's gone to the birds

A little fun they say

Only one death?

Why not take his breath?

A little fun they say

The conscious judges him

With a smile most grim

A little fun they say

His descent into madness

The reflection bringing sadness

A little fun they say

He can't have it that way

He swallowed pain and keeps it at bay

And so, must come the death of Dorian Gray
