If one drink makes you taller

And the other makes you small

Is it really better

To drink either one at all?

So you choose one randomly

And by the time the night is through

You tower over others

While your mind is all askew.

At first it tastes of lavender

So sweetly going down

Palette-able transformation

As you remove your crown.

Nuts and figs are next

A milky spirit reigns

Your cheeks flush and blush

The blood pulses through your veins

Now you're growing taller

Giant toadstools are a sight

But pale in all comparison

To the splendor of your height

Red berries and brown sugar

The last taste to cross your lips

Fills you with such vigor

As the ground below you slips

Now, you are invincible!

The you you know is gone

Replaced by dizzy giant

As night moves slowly on

You relinquish all your power

To an automatic feed

Ruled by pure desire

And fueled by dire need

As the blackness settles in

Now that you've fully grown

Head in the clouds seems normal

Like all you've ever known

You could have saved the trouble

Had you remembered what you forgot

That they should love you for who you are

More than for who you're not.
