I wrote this with Alan Ginsburg in mind...with my own kind of howling. This poem is about finding yourself lost, alone, and angry on a Saturday night. Possibly after getting beat up.

What is it

That keeps you

Howling

Is it the moon

Or the moonlight?

Or remembering that you were warmer

When the sun was out

Under clouds that only left you

Alone

On a clear night, with that big red moon

Hanging there like a suicide

Blood moon

Blood rain

Bloody nose

Kneeling in the street

Howling again
