A short piece about something I saw out of a bus window

A wooden, gray cattle shack

Settled on red hills sloped saddleback.

Ocean green, turquoise grass sway

Like a lost watercolor Monet.

They passed through the window quick

A vanishing willow-wisp trick.

Then all was quiet except for the hum

Of wheels spinning and occasional bumps,

And I felt it strange to see

How surreal real life can be.

But I looked back at my phone and withstood,

Because my show was just too good

And I felt the view no longer interested me.
