"Do you love me,"

questioned I on the topic of we.

"I am no longer new in this romance,"

this subsiding love dance.

My love has been declining,

my heart lately, has not been following.

Tears are always on my face,

the distance between us has effaced.

Once was sugary and sweet is now bitter,

tormented by other giggling lovers.

The court, the ball, it all amasses,

to effervescence made in empty glasses.

The bubbles can slowly drown,

washed by the desperation of loving sounds,

We are all effervescence in this town,

An eruption before we all drown.

So as I questioned,

before the eruption.

Will, you guide me to you,

a romance of effervescent champagne of two.
