An ode to the greatest poet of all time...and a reflection on the impact his works have made upon me. Thank you Mr. Shakespeare!

Would that I could be among you

An actor on that globe

The bear bait noise and din and heckle

A jester to you, betrothed.

Macduff's blade still warm with gore

Dark lady keeping treason's score

Or found among the flitting faery

An ass head of my own.

Come then, William!

My sleep is waning, and I am lonely for the stage

And prop and meter and twists of fate

still have use in smart phone age

Would that I could come be among you

A lesson for my love

The words of poets, playwrights, fools

An actor's gentle shove
