A A A | A A A

My, A, This…

A Cavern…

Vines, veins and viscera,

Once a place of solace,

Now a place of torture,

My retreat, my escape, my world,

Stolen by a vulture.

My Mind…

No longer my own,

What punishment doth this be,

What have I wrought,

That brought forth such a travesty.

Once a Haven…

A place to hide and burrow,

A place to run and be free,

A place to lie on soft sand,

And let the world around me be.

This Black…

So lost in chaos and screams,

Mine or the others,

Cannot tell who is me.

My Eye…

So clear and keen,

Once was my only need,

To see the truth,

Of the others around.

My Sense…

That extra bit of conscience,

Navigate in a world,

That was rot at the start,

Now I no longer have a guide

For my twisted and misshapen heart.

My Sanity…

Fragile crystal spires,

Strewn across my mind into pieces,

I watch as my light expires.

Why My Mind…

The neurons that I seek,

They elude my every reach,

The highest of mountain peak.

My Cavern…

I seek you every day,

Crawl inside and try to find you,

Will I ever find the stray?
