Against my chest and getting warmer

Against my chest and burning hotter

My own Incubus

Begs me for a kiss

As I make promises to myself

All lies

About love, life, and happiness

The games I play are just distractions

The things I say are to pull me away

From the thoughts of not so fun actions

I am my own bullet

Buried in the barrel of my chest

And I am my own trigger

Seducing myself

With the idea of rest

My Incubus begs me

Just a little louder

Every moment

Of every single day
