MEATS, EGGS IN RELATION TO HEART DISEASES. Much is known about cholesterol & heart disease but little is said about TMAO (Trimethylamine-N-oxide) effect to the same. Red meat has an amino acid L-carnitine, while eggs have choline which are both metabolized separately by gut bacteria to produce trimethylamine or TMA. TMA is transfered to the liver via blood stream where its oxidised into TMAO primarily by the enzyme FMO3. High levels of TMAO are associated with increased cIMT (carotid intima-media thickness).. [carotid artery is the big vessel that takes blood to the brain along the neck].. Increased cIMT is an early marker for hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis) which is associated with increased risks of heart diseases (heart failure, stroke, & BP), insulin resistance, fatty liver, kidney failure, liver dysfunction & inflammation. Our herbal - MMHCI macro- decreases this TMAO levels in the body thus freeing you from this risks. Energy drinks, lecithin, saltwater fish are the other risk
