I like the place that I sit in,
the comfort I feel inside.
The darkness, how it envelops me,
as I shy away from the light.

I continue on my journey,
numb to all around me.
Until a spark of Truth ignites,
then suddenly, I can see.

I see the chains that bind me,
the cage that I sit in.
I see the locks that keep me bound
and the key that lies within.

A desire is born deep inside,
to escape the bonds of fear.
Hope is birthed within me,
and an inner light appears.

The light inside grows brighter,
illuminating all.
Until the chains that bind me,
break free and start to fall.

I awaken as if from a dream,
anew and reborn.
The gift that I have just received,
heals my heart forlorn.

I stand in strength of Truth and Love,
shining brightly like the sun.
The rays of Love now beaming forth,
my prison sentence at last is done.
