May rainbows and butterflies carry your pretty life

Into streams of light, over moonlit skies,

Where earth and mind meet the eye

And the suffering of your malady are only memories;

When you breathe, I can feel you watching over me.

Where the things we need to but cannot say

Are only streams of love rolling down my face;

Where your memory will come in billows

Your voice ripples and your love remains the same.

You’ll never know the heart you hold, the relic behind the pain,

Or the whirlwind of rain stained upon my pillow.

From my third eye, I see you smile in dreams at night

Under the tree of life where we watched you die

And on the twelfth night may angels and dragonflies

Breathe new light on the darkness inside

And give you wings so you can fly

Into the sparkling eye of the giant, Sky

With sapphire binds holding you tight,

So when I look up I can see you there.

A diamond in the rough, watching over us.
