A poem about October's rain

The October Rain

Oh, October Rain

Caress the bellies of sparrows

Let the children have a peaceful

Halloween--

The caterpillars sew

At Mother Nature's sewing machine

Make me a new outfit Lord--

Bison, squirrels and black coffee

Poets surround dusty libraries

Give inspiration to the homeless

Dragonflies, sheep and Pit Bulls

Find it colder, now to sleep--

Open the floodgates of Heaven

Oh, October Rain

Caress the bellies of sparrows

Engage in a masterpiece of flight

The soil is going to be wet

God wept; the changing season

of October Rain

I need a warm sweater--

Prepare for dark and

Chilly  weather

Oh, October Rain

Let the children have a peaceful

Halloween--AMEN
