There are many things in life that will always bring people down and you know what, that is something that happens to everyone so don’t just think it happens to you. When you are going through a rough patch in your life just know that there are people out there that have been through the same situations or even worse situations. The best way that you can deal with this is by trying to relax yourself and just think other thoughts that would bring you bad memories. I personally have rough patches through my life a lot and I get through it by either doing something to keep myself occupied or just talk to one of my good friends. Most people will assume that talking to people can be a bad thing when you are depressed, but that is not always true.

Just recently I went through one of the worst situations in my life where I lost my girlfriend that I had been dating for 2+ years. When she died it was one of the most devastating things and my mind would just not function properly. What I did to manage my self at that time was to try and not think about it and to try and always keep my mind empty. That works majority of the times, but there are still those points where I just get to the point where I don’t want to talk to anyone or be around anyone. That is normal to happen when you are depressed but if it were to happen everyday than that could be a sign of something really bad. At many other times throughout my life, I have struggled with depression and sadness, especially when I was about 11 years old and my father died. I can still remember how awful it was to see him lying dead on the bathroom floor at one something in the morning. It haunts me all the time even to this day to remember that I barely got to spend any of my life with him. Now I have my step dad and he treats me like his own son. That is a great feeling because I never really had anyone sort of father figure there in my life and just to know that he supports me for things I do is something that really helps me not bottle up my emotions.

No matter how bad you think your life is, suicide will never be an option, trust me on that one because I have tried it before and I realized that I had too much to live for. If you think suicide is your last resort than please talk to someone because that is what I did and I was able to get help that I needed at one of the lowest points in my life,.My goal is to try and help you guys not commit suicide because just think of all the people you would hurt just to please the dark side of your mind. If the dark side of something tells you to do something you never should, there should only ever be a certain occasion where you can listen to that side of you. Like if you are trying to protect yourself then you should listen to the dark side because it will tell you the best way to defend yourself and escape from harm's way.

I want many of you guys to live long and happy lives and not have it shortened by something bad that happens to you. Just remember what I said earlier that you are not alone and there is always someone out there who has gone through something very similar. Many of my friends suffer from depression and every day we tell each other to keep going and achieve our goals so that way we can make the best out of ourselves. Just remember that people will always be there to encourage you forward in life to help you make better decisions.
