A Confused American's Rant

You fight with him

You fight with me

Isn't it great to fight for free

Knowing words have no consequences

But if you look over other people's fences

You'll see that freedom isn't so free

You can speak your minds

Full of ignorance wrapped up in eloquence

But are you so blind

Can't you see beyond your social media feeds

Nothing will ever change

Right, left or undecided

For all this hatred

Love unrequited

Violence begetting violence

None of this will ever cease

Until there's a pause

A contemplative silence

Use your eyes to see

Instead of your mouths to mame

Because in this world we're all the same

Hurting

And we need each other to heal
