Written for a prompt to describe a scene in fifty words or under. Cover image: A Street At Night by John Atkinson Grimshaw.

Victorian Night.

Hustle and bustle,

the chatter of voices;

so many stores

with so many choices.

Victorian night,

lit up in gold,

the horses pull carts

going where they are told.

The rustle of dresses,

the tapping of shoes;

a Victorian night

in yellows, not blues.

If the Republicans get their way, we'll soon see it up close and personal, excellent, Hull!

I don't know who the Victoria is, but she sounds like she's ready to party--excellent, Hull!

Lovely, Hully, especially 'the ruffle of dresses and tapping of shoes'; that really helped take me there.

That picture prompt brought back childhood memories. No! I'm not that old, lol. one of my favourite hobbies as a child was those paint by numbers oil painting sets you can get from hobby shops. I remember getting that one as a present for my seventh birthday. ahh... the good old days.

I thought your words captured the atmosphere of this picture perfectly, well done, a pleasurable read, and a nice little walk down memory lane to boot.
