Mother, have I made you proud? I tried to stand up straight and tall amongst the crowd.

Mother, have I made you glad? I worked very hard to not be bad.

Mother, have I made you smile? I didn't mean to be such trial.

Mother, are you still sad? I didn't mean to run off Dad.

Mother, are you still mad? Please don't put me back in the ironclad.

Mother, are you still there? The cold is just too much to bear.

Mother, will you be back? Please don't go upstairs to pack.

Mother, why did you go? I can no longer feel my big toe.

Mother, have you forgotten me? Days have passed by as I wait to be set free.

Mother, do you care? My skin pulls tight like a drum and nothing remains of my hair.

Mother, do you know what? The pain no longer hurts in my gut.

Mother, could you pray for my soul? I'm afraid that this place has taken its toll.

Mother, do you know what Heaven is like? It's beautiful here with my little brother Mike.
