Empty Me

Take this Life,

Make it more.

For what it is,

Is in need of more.

Empty me out like a glass of wine upon Your altar,

May my Life be the offering that is pleasing to You.

Fill me up with Your Glory,

So that I may bring Glory to You.

My Life cries out as does my blood when it strikes the ground,

Only You,

Jesus only You,

Only You satisfy my weary soul.

How long must I wait?

How long for this patience to grow?

Fill me up Holy Father,

Fill me up with your Spirit again.

Give to me the water that refreshes my soul,

That I can drink of and never thirst again.

For Your Love O Lord,

Your Love alone revives my weary and battered soul.

It is You Jesus,

You Who have borne the weight of my sorrows

And ransomed this battered soul.

For the Lamb is worthy of it all.

Empty Me, Empty My Life,

So that it may be filled.

Filled to the brim as I overflow.

In the overflow let Your Love lead me on.

Anoint my head with the Oil of Gladness,

Restore my Hope,

Fill me with Your Overwhelming Joy,

So that I may dance before Your Throne.

For I Love Your Name

And I Love Your Ways.

Guide me and lead me as a child is lead by their father,

Be my Father and Be my God,

Show me Your Glory

So that I may give You Glorious Praise.

Lead me beside the pleasant streams.

Under the Shadow of Your Holy Wings,

Protect me and nurture me,

For I am a broken soul,

Always in need of You Lord...
