A Sirens Aria

A snap of thunder. Crashing waves do dance.

Upon surface waters ships quail and quake.

Across green skies, the blinding lights do lance.

Great boasting vessels all to soon shall break.

The world above, tumultuous arrayed.

Here within the depths, quiet currents sway;

With but the barest hint chaos conveyed.

A simple peace, a still and quiet bay.

Despite the raging storm, we upward sped,

For piercing through the deep we hear their cries.

Some thousand lives call out in final dread;

A desperate sound wrenched out as all hope dies.

We catch each soul, from greatest to the least.

And so with gleeful joy we finely feast.
