The problem is that it doesn't just wound
It completely severs.
There's a weak squeeze,
Like the hold it has is just as tired.
I can still feel a slight burn.
The circuits desperately fire.
And then I'm puzzle pieces,
Banged with fist together.
There's also the ringing ears,
Only I can hear.
But then I can't hear.
And although the world doesn't change in those moments,
I am changed in those moments.
Vision so painfully sharp,
All allure is filtered out.
It's a dry spell of the eyes.
Praying for rain,
Blood, tears
Body warmth, two in the same.
But those too are gone.
A marionette heart.
Their strings cut.
Like a motherless child,
Broken from the start.
