Can’t you hear them?

The voices that echo within my being

Resonating loudly, like a monster growling

Can’t you see them?

Their eyes were like two moons on fire

Can’t you feel them?

Their cold touch embraces me into a warm cocoon

Clawing away at my shell, not leaving any innocence left

Their nails dragging down my skin like jagged stones

They occupy my mind with little resistance

I wish they would go away

Their plague is my eternal ally

I sob, desperate to break free from their DNA

As they treat me as if I have massive debt to pay

They cackle as I sit in the corner in despair

I can see clearly, but my vision is blurred

Can’t you see them?

The way they torture me?

Taunting me daily

Can’t you hear them?

Yelling so loudly, “You are worthless.”

As they circle me in the darkness

Screaming at me, “There is nowhere left for you to go.”
