I laid awake and watched Emmerson sleep. I truly felt bad about hitting her. I could've killed her in my fit of rage. Honestly I don't even know why I was angry at her. I think it's the curse that triggered my anger. Breaking the curse is going to be harder than I thought.

When we first went to bed Emmerson went to the very edge of her side. I could tell she was frightened of me, but there was also something else that made her nervous about sleeping in the same bed as me. When she wakes up I'm going to ask her about it.

Now she's curled up grasping to my arm for dear life. Her eyes are just as beautiful as the rest of her too. They're these enticing shade of emerald. When she first opened the door I got lost completely in those green orbs.

She's very tiny too she couldn't be no taller than maybe five feet precisely. Just being next to her makes me feel like a giant.

When she came out in my clothes I couldn't help the mental smile. They were maybe four or five sizes too big, given that I'm almost seven feet tall compared to her measly five feet. I remained staring at her plump juicy lips. They kept begging to be kissed.

Leaning in I feather a light kiss on her bottom lip. Just then her eyes burst open. I shouldn't have done that.

"Damn right you shouldn't have." She growls at me tearing herself out of my grip. Shit I said that out loud.

Immediately I tense and feel the anger build up inside of me. She knew I told her not to use cuss words last night, but she does it anyway.

"Didn't I tell you to watch your mouth last night?" She blanches at my words.

She heads to the bathroom, but before she can run away from me I grab her wrist. I didn't see her raise her hand before it was too late. I felt the sting of her slap against my skin.

I could feel "The Beast" get angry. Before I knew what was happening I heard a loud crunch. Emmerson's face screwed up in pain as she screamed bloody murder.

Letting go of her hand I go to step in closer. Before I can though Stella has run into the room and Emmerson out.

"Did ye 'urt that poor child again?" Stella asked in a stern motherly way.

Hanging my head in shame I answered her. "It was an accident. I-I truly didn't mean to i-it was "The Beast" I swear." I stutter out wiping both hands down my face.

"Now ye listen 'ere, that poor child 'asn't done anything to deserve to be physically abused by ye." Stella reels off poking me in my chest on the last three words. "Ye better tell me what 'appened this time before I 'ave yer 'ead boy!" She fumed her face turning red.

"I...I kissed her while she was asleep. When I did that she woke up and ran away. I tried to stop her from locking herself in the bathroom so I grabbed her wrist. We talked and then she slapped me. I swear Stella I didn't mean to hurt her. 'The Beast' just snapped and I accidentally broke her wrist...I think." I said finishing it off.

"Oh so this is all your fault! You've gone and done it. You're supposed to be making 'er fall in love with ye, not chasing 'er away. 'ave ye forgotten about that already? Reuben she's yer Mate and the only way to save yer family boy. I'm very disappointed in ye." She yelled and me and walked off. Most likely to go find Emmerson.

I felt a slight pressure on my lips causing me to jolt awake. Imagine my face when I saw Reuben kissing me.

I pulled away when he murmured, "I shouldn't have done that." You could obviously see he hadn't meant to say that aloud, but I couldn't help but retort with a smart ass remark.

He visibly tensed after I spoke the words I did. I had forgotten about him telling me not to cuss. Afraid he might hit me I tried to run to the bathroom.

Before I made it there though he grabbed my wrist. This pissed me off severely. Before he could register what I was about to do, I raised my hand a smacked him as hard as I could. I could see the pure rage flicker across his eyes before they turned a blood red like last night.

I tried to break free from his grasp. Before I could though he squeezed it so hard my wrist collapsed with a resounding crunch that echoed throughout the room.

Just then his eyes returned to their normal—well unique—shade. Before he could speak though the lady from last night ran into the room. Before either one of them could stop I ran out the room. I ran as fast as I could and didn't stop.

At first I got lost because we were on like a third floor or something. There were so many twists and turns before I found the flight of stairs that led me to the second floor. It took me about another minute or so to find the stairs that led down to the first floor. Making my way I didn't stop until I noticed people.

Surely they were going to stop me and send me back to the monster upstairs. They looked like fancy people too. Then I noticed another group made up of entirely different people.

People in uniforms were looking at me strange, but none of them tried to stop me. Taking that as a good sign I went and searched for the front door. I finally found it and thrusted it open. Looking around I spotted dense woods lining the backyard.

Deciding I had a better chance there that's where I headed. I ran and ran even when a stitch in my side appeared from running so much. I never stopped to look behind me I just kept going. After awhile my feet started to blister and bleed.

I would alternate between walking and running. I don't know how long I'd been doing this but it started to get dark out. Looking around I stumbled upon a clearing. Maybe fate did love me a little bit after all.

I knew I couldn't stop but just then I came upon a hidden cave. It was covered in glow worms and had a faint light. It was completely dark out now. I needed to rest and just when I didn't think couldn't get any worse I remembered my wrist.

When I tried to move it, it just made it hurt a billion times worse. I had broken bones enough to know that. That monster broke my wrist. Curling up in a corner of the cave I tried to forget my pain and get some sleep.

I tossed and turned awhile that night, the pain and hunger didn't make it any easier. Many times I thought about going back but I didn't even know what direction I came from. Besides this patch of forest, everything looked the same. I started to cry when I heard animals howling and whatnot.

What if something came and got me when I was asleep. Wincing I pulled my injured wrist to my chest. The swelling from it being broken hadn't gone down that much. That must be due to my dehydration. Finally the pain became unbearable and I passed out.
