You must have been a bird in another life.

I say, as my mother whistles the tune of the blue bird back to him.

It comes so naturally to her to sing his song.

And, the blue bird now, delighted to have found his companion,

sings stronger and louder than before.

Its almost as if he remembers her,

I like to believe that he does.

Their conversation carries on 

as I think to myself how lucky I am,

to have a mother

that makes mother nature herself,

want to sing.
