Pretty birds
On a wire;
Aim the gun
Shoot one.
The wires in my head
Don't work
So well today.
The bird falls softly
Mama I'm losing
My grip.
The ground is so hard;
Hard ground
Beneath me
Rough hands
Around my neck.

 

1,2,3,4...
Random birds
On a wire;
Aim the gun
Shoot another one.
Keep counting
Keep shooting
Voices in my head
Here to stay.
Mama can Stephen
Come out to play?
No dear not today
He's not real anyway.
Mama I can't make
The trip
Life is too hard;

 

1,2,3,4...
1-2-3...4
1...2...
Love birds
On a wire;
Take aim
Two for one.
I didn't see
The light turn red
Now they're both dead.
Dying is so hard;
Mama used to say
If life hands you
Lemons...
What if life
Hands you
Dead birds instead?
Papa used to say
Just suck it up
As he took his belt out.

 

1-2-3-4...
4...3...2...1...
Counting crows
On a wire;
Think I know why
They call it a murder.
