Follow the pretty bird across the sky

To find the nest where it will lie.

The bird flies fast and the bird flies strong

Until it has to call swan song.

The others in the flock will go

To see if there is danger. No.

But in the sunken nest will lie

The body of the birdie who swan song cried.

The screeches and the screams of the flock will tell

That the birdie did fly fast and well.

But it did not see what it did not know,

That a swan with a hue of black would go.

And because this swan chose that path to tread

The pretty birdie now is dead.
