The rabbit calls, a mighty cry, to ask the deer to play.

The deer whispers to the trees for shade, to live another day.

The trees sing to the eagle, inviting it to stay.

The eagle cooes to the little mouse, the mouse it wants to slay.

The mouse yells to the grass, the grass, to hide it if it may.

The grass moans lightly, yes, it knows it’s shelter to the prey.

The sun flies high, it loves the sky, it’s happy and it’s gay.

But then comes the moon, sorrow and hate, to chase the light away.
