When love first blooms
it tastes of spring.
Everything is bright,
birds start to sing.
Laughter is heard,
the sun warms the face.
The flowers all bloom
like dresses of lace.
It's aroma intoxicates,
it's joy is seen.
Skies are all blue
and meadows all green.
Love warms into summer.
Familiar and fun.
Still so much laughter,
not much has yet gone.
Memories form
and scars are shown.
The heat of summer
shows how much love has grown.
The wind calms the air,
the sand warms the toes.
Something is coming
and love does not know.
Love changes in autumn;
like the leaves in the trees.
The world slowly turns
with the crisp, fall breeze.
The air is brisk,
chilling the day.
Just like love
who is fading away.
So much is different,
So much is gone.
Now autumn is over
and love has moved on.
There is no love in winter;
just the empty and cold.
Snow feezes the world,
only ice left to hold.
The world is white,
the trees are bare.
Lifelessness
is everywhere.
Love cannot live
when left all alone.
It's too cold in winter
and love cannot survive on it's own.
