If we are all the same,

Why do we trample each other for gain?

Inflating our egos with greed

Stemming out from jealousy,

We timidly wait to destroy

Any opposition threatening our will.

Cornered. Ready to kill.

Each other. And ourselves.

Oh how our hypocritical morality

Justifies our decisively destructive intentions.

Crippled by fear,

Expecting a knife in our back.

Anxiously, we wait to pounce,

On the next weaker soul

That will surely cross our path.
