Long ago it may have been,
but your touch remains imprinted on my skin.
You played my heart,
like the strings of a guitar,
yet I would willingly dance still,
to the tune of your hands.

Behind walls and closed doors,
stifled whimpers and moans,
your wondrous gaze,
has never left my dreamscape.
If in truth, love we shared,
why leave me broken, why leave me bare?

You left me for shame,
wanting and in vain.
You chose society’s way,
and left us both in chains.
Forbidden it may have been,
but choose to live, live without shame.
