It seems that love has seeped into the very heart of me-

The deepest part, apart, a place I thought was safe

But love knows no bounds apparently.

I can’t hide in this place.

It chases,

A ghost,

An acquaintance,

With no hello or goodbye

And as the season changes,

I think I’ll be set free,

But love never lets go that easy-
It can linger a lifetime, sometimes unwanted,

At that point I guess you can call it a friend,

But a curse is more fitting

It can become more a voice than a feeling

A whisper,

A shriek,

The resonance surrounding,

Cluttering the mind,

Making you delirious.

Love just out of reach is the worst

It stands on the opposite side of the shore

It whispers so you can just barely hear it over the waves

It taunts, “Someday … someday… someday,”

With each step you’re under the illusion you’re growing closer

And yet it slips

Farther

And

Farther

away
