To know happiness, one must first know and understand pain. Only after losing everything does one truly realize the value of the people in their lives. Only then do they truly see. If not—if they decide to remain blind—they’re fools condemned to an endless spiral of tragedy. They’ll have no one to blame but themselves. A person in pain who can laugh and smile is truly strong. A heart of courage and love belongs to a true fighter—someone who protects what truly matters to them. Look to the light they carry in their heart and banish the shadows of ignorance in yours. Abandon the comfort and complacency wrought by stagnation— stand tall and strong. Even if you stand alone, pick up the pieces and realign them in a manner that brings you happiness. Don’t be afraid to cry because it means you’re still warm on the inside. A cold heart made of stone is subject to erosion and will crumble in the end. The shadows of despair and hatred do not give you true strength. No. They nestle themselves deep within you and steal your humanity. They steal the warmth to feed their greedy, cold hands. Never give up and never give in to doubt. Keep fighting no matter what—give it your all so there’s no room for regret. Remember the past for it brought you to where you stand today. Remember the scars and every battle fought. Realize how strong you’ve become. View failure as a lesson. Remember all the struggles and tears shed. Know what you’re looking for and remember the path you chose. It’s never too late to change—all it takes is a decision. Don’t let those who seek your ruin cause your resolve and determination to waver. Remember where you came from and know who you are and where you’re going. Never forget, for if you do, you will be lost with no place to go or return to.
