If I was too reckless, you were too safe.

I was skinned knees,

you were Polysporin.

I was bare feet,

you were runners.

I was sun tanned and sea kissed,

you were pale skinned and city stricken.

We were opposite tides,

converging.

We were day lights meeting black nights,

destined to always need one another.
