Nothing can silence the voices in my head

No one can shush the monsters on my shoulders.

The Anxiety performs a resounding cacophony

While the Depression screams velvet lies.

Together they weave a work of mental agony

with a steadfast needle.

Until the seam snaps and I can no longer breathe.

My existance becomes nothing more than a pile of discarded thread.

The interfacing of my mind unravels,

my body begins to render itself immobile

and Death promises a sweet relief

but to accept His offer would mean to

loose the very fabric of my mind.
