Carnival Sunshine
carries me to the other side
of Atlantic Ocean.

Coral soft sunset
stands still by the balcony.
Gold peaks out between clouds.

Ascending grim reaper,
"defender of man,"
hides behind a Canon lens.

A jawline hand-made
from Michealangelo in heaven,
slashed me in ruins.

A full moon in both eyes,
he knew I was high
off Sunshine fumes.

In a quick flash, he waltzes
through man-made shadows.
Left me fumbling the dark to find him.

Beneath a spiral staircase,
he caught Helena in a floral gown.
My favorite portrait of me.

Carnival Sunshine
awakens an abandoned hurt.
Titanic pierced by Cupid's glacier.

He remains a tied anchor
to the black sands of Atlantic.
A current of thoughts he always disrupts.

Carnival Sunshine,
a cruise on vacation
became divine intervention.
