A poem about a teen, before and after facing his exam.

A week before the year-end exam,

In my room diligently studying,

There’s so much to remember,

Burn the midnight oil,

Pages flipping through,

While notes were taken,

Because it was last minute preparation,

Wondering the possibility of passing the exam,

In the hall,

The papers were right in front of my eyes,

Stomach filled with butterflies,

Don’t dare to flip over,

Carefully answering all the questions,

A silent hall,

But a loud voice inside,

No one heard it,

Results were announced,

I was relieved,

No more last minute,

No more burning the midnight oil,

I should’ve studied hard…
